THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
The City of Danville would like to announce the closure of Madison Street as part of the Downtown Revitalization Phase 1 construction project. Beginning at 7:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, there will be a complete roadway closure of Madison Street between Vermilion Street and Hazel Street.
It is anticipated that the street will reopen by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024. This closure will affect motorists traveling eastbound and westbound on Madison Street. Please choose an alternate route to avoid delays. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution while traveling near the roadway closure corridor.
