By all accounts, the Monday evening storm that passed through Danville and Vermilion County was certainly a nuisance, but caused little in regard to damages. Vermilion County EMA (Emergency Management Agency) Director Russell Rudd stated that the county’s storm damage was “limited to power lines and a few trees down. Nothing major.”
Danville Director of Public Works David Ruwe said perhaps four to five streets had significant tree branches down, but there were no major road blockages. Ruwe stated that “it was pretty minor, compared to what we’ve had in the past year.”
