THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
Danville Police Officers responded to the 300 block of Washington Street on Sunday morning 7/28/24 at about 2:30 a.m. for the report of a subject who had been stabbed.
Officers located a 29-year-old Danville man in that area suffering from stab wounds. The person was transported to a local hospital and is currently stable.
During the officer’s investigation at the scene, they arrested 23-year-old Donald Hardy Jr. of Danville. Hardy was charged with Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon and is currently being held at the Public Safety Building awaiting a hearing.
The Danville Police Department reminds the public that all persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
