Danville, IL – Vermilion County Workforce Education (VCWE), an initiative in partnership with Vermilion Advantage, DACC, and VVEDS, is excited to announce that applications are now open for a limited number of paid student internship opportunities for local high school students
VCWE will offer 20 paid internships to current high school juniors and seniors, ages 17–18. Each selected student will participate in a two-week internship and earn $500 upon successful completion. With only 20 spots available, students are encouraged to apply early.
These internships provide valuable, real-world experience across a variety of career fields. Participating businesses include Express Employment, Lakeview College of Nursing, Monyok Leadership, Two Roads Wellness Clinic, Watchfire Signs, City of Danville, Trigard, Hall of Fame Plaques & Signs, Schomburg & Schomburg Construction, and MPower Counseling.
Available internship experiences span multiple industries, including marketing, manufacturing, construction, mental health clinical observation, finance, engineering, community development, community relations, and more.
“This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience, build professional connections, and explore potential career paths—all while earning money,” said Jodie Ingram, Workforce Education Director.
The application deadline is May 8, 2026. Interested students can connect with their school guidance counselors on how to apply.
