Balloons Over Vermilion, 2026 is coming up June 5th and 6th at Kennekuk County Park. And despite this year’s earlier time and different location, one tradition that remains is the selection of area grade school students to be student ambassadors at BOV. This year’s lucky classes are 4th graders at Salt Fork North Elementary in Catlin, taught by Libby Torbit and Kylie Sherer.

Balloon’s Over Vermilion’s Jim Anderson and Pat O’Shaughnessy made the annual BOV classroom visit Wednesday (April 29th) afternoon. The students were able to show their own ideas for hot air balloons that they designed and drew. And they were also happy to explain them to CIMG.
