THE FOLLOWING RELEASE CONCERNS A RESOLUTION SPONSORED BY STATE REP BRANDUN SCHWEIZER
A House Resolution sponsored by State Representative Brandun Schweizer declaring May 2026 as Illinois Military Appreciation Month in the State of Illinois has been adopted in the House Veterans Affairs Committee and now heads to the full House for consideration.
Schweizer said the transition from military service to civilian life presents both opportunities and challenges, making it important to recognize not only the sacrifices made in uniform, but also the ongoing needs of Illinois veterans and their families.
