THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
Danville, IL – On June 24, 2026, at approximately 9:04 p.m., Danville Police responded to an address in the unit block of S. Virginia Ave. after Vermilion County 9-1-1 received a call from an individual who stated a male had been shot.
Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim’s condition is currently listed as stable.
