If you are planning what to do with the family this weekend, don’t forget American Legion Post 210’s Family Frenzy Community Event. The post’s Lisa Knapp recently joined Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection program. Knapp said it will be a busy day from 1 to 7 PM. They’ll have food trucks, a loaded silent auction, a bounce house; and the annual “kid zone,” not to mention “kid crafts” courtesy of the Danville Public Library.
And that’s only the beginning. Knapp says the dunk tank will be so busy that you can never tell WHO will be in there, and from WHAT organization.
AUDIO: I’ve got the policemen, the firefighters, I have the Danville Public Library coming out to help us out. They’re going to actually have a competition on who can raise the most money in the dunk tank. Friends of the policemen, friends of the firefighters and families. And we also have VFW; and the American Legion members.
Musical entertainment at this Saturday’s “Family Frenzy Community Event” at American Legion Post 210 will include One Foot In from 2 to 4 PM, and Danville Blues Coalition from 5 to 7 PM.
By the way, when it comes to events at the Danville American Legion later this year; Knapp says mark your calendars for a very special Truck or Treat on October 26th, and the annual party with Santa Claus on December 15th.
