On July 19, 2024, Vermilion County State’s Attorney, Jacqueline Lacy and the Victim Assistance Program hosted their 29th Annual Victim Assistance Golf Outing at Turtle Run Golf Club in Danville. Golfers came out to enjoy the beautiful day and to promote the Victim Assistance Program. Local residents and businesses showed their support with monetary and in-kind donations. As a result, the Victim Assistance Program was able to raise more than $11,000.
State’s Attorney, Jacqueline Lacy said, “We cannot thank the community enough for coming through each year to support our mission to help all victims and witnesses of crime in Vermilion County. In many cases, the individuals we assist must leave their homes with little more than the clothes on their back. We greatly appreciate the financial support that we receive from local residents and businesses so that we may offer victims and their families access to emergency shelter, transportation as well as basic necessities.”
State’s Attorney Lacy said plans to host the 30th Annual Victim Assistance Golf Outing in 2025 are already under way.
