On Tuesday night 7/23/2024 at around 9:45 p.m. Danville Police Officers responded to the 900 block of James Street for the report of a gunshot victim.
Officers arrived to find a 16-year-old subject who had been shot. The juvenile was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. This incident is in the early stages of the investigation and nothing else is being released at this time.
Very little information was provided to officers on the scene. Because of that, the Danville Police Department is requesting assistance from the public with any information that can be provided about this incident.
