Monday, August 5, 2024- Danville Noon Rotary welcomed Brandun Schweizer, State Representative for the 104th District, for a legislative update. Appointed in December of 2023 to fill the vacancy of retiring Representative Mike Marron, Mr. Schweizer has been busy establishing relationships in Springfield. After a 21 year career in the US Marine Corps, he now serves on the following committees: Higher Education, Energy and Environment, Ethics and Elections, Gaming, and Immigration and Human Rights. He spoke of the Illinois budget, the importance of being fiscally responsible as a State and the importance of protecting the Mahomet Aquifer.
Danville Noon Rotary’s next meeting is Monday, August 12 at WorkSource Enterprises, 3713 N. Vermilion St Danville, IL. Guest speaker will be Jeannie Cooke, Executive Director of the Vermilion County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. Danville Noon Rotary would like to welcome everyone!
