DANVILLE — Shoppers looking forward to the opening of Ollie’s in Danville have about a month to wait.
“We are looking to open the store the first week of November, assuming all continues as planned,” according to Tom Kuypers, senior vice president of marketing and advertising for Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc.
An initial estimate had been an October opening, but officials had stated earlier this year that the store was expected to open in the fall.
Construction has been occurring and hiring also has started for Ollie’s that will be opening at the former Big Lots site, 20 N. Gilbert St.
“We typically hire about 40 to 50 folks for the opening. Our store hours are standardized and are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday,” Kuypers previously said.
