THE FOLLOWING IS A DOWNTOWN DANVILLE, INC RELEASE
Danville, IL — [October 21, 2025] — Downtown Danville, Inc. (DDI) is proud to announce that CTS Computing, a locally owned business located in the heart of downtown Danville, has been awarded a $5,000 grant as part of DDI’s ongoing effort to support business growth and revitalization in the downtown district.
The DDI grant program is designed to help small businesses and property owners make physical and operational improvements that strengthen the vitality of Danville’s core business area. Grant funds may be used for façade enhancements, signage, accessibility improvements, and other projects that contribute to a more vibrant and attractive downtown experience.
“CTS Computing represents exactly the type of investment and entrepreneurship we want to encourage,” said Kim Kuchenbrod, Executive Director, DDI. “Each award we make helps advance the broader vision of a thriving, welcoming downtown that serves as the economic and cultural heart of our community.”
DDI awards grants twice each year, using funds generated through the Downtown Special Service Area (SSA) and other community reinvestment initiatives. These funds are part of a broader strategy to reinvest local tax dollars directly back into the revitalization of the downtown district—improving infrastructure, supporting business expansion, and attracting new development.
According to DDI’s recent Downtown Danville Redevelopment Impact Snapshot, more than $31,120 has been reinvested directly into downtown improvements in recent years, resulting in 7 funded projects resulting in $219,527 in total building improvements. Every $1 in SSA funds granted results in $7 in private investment in the downtown district. The next round of DDI grants will open for applications in Spring 2026, providing another opportunity for downtown businesses and property owners to apply for funding that supports the continued transformation of Danville’s historic core.
