As Bill Pickett reported earlier this week, Early Voting time for the spring primary election is upon us. It began Thursday, February 5th; and Vermilion County Clerk Robyn Heffern recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. Heffern reminded us that the place to go is the Joseph G. Cannon Building at 201 North Vermilion. If you are a Danville resident, head downstairs. If you are a county resident outside of Danville, you want to be on the main floor.
AUDIO: Anyone in the county would come to the Vermilion County Clerk’s Office, at the Joseph G. Cannon Building on the first floor. City voters would go to the basement of that same building, and the Danville Election Commission.
Heffern also reminded us that we are talking about a lot of state and county races for this election.
AUDIO: (At the) state level the main race is the governor race, of course. Locally, it’s going to be county clerk, county treasurer, supervisor of assessments, regional office of education, there’s county board, there’s precinct committeemen; and of course the sheriff is on the ballot this time too.
Early Voting runs through Monday, March 16th; with the Primary Election Scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th.
