The following release is from IL House 104th District Candidate Mary Catherine Roberson
Danville, IL — Local residents are invited to a Get Out the Vote Youth Rally on Saturday, March 7, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Laura Lee Fellowship House, focused on voter education, registration, and civic participation ahead of upcoming elections.
The event is hosted by Mary Catherine Roberson, a lifelong Vermilion County resident and candidate for Illinois House District 104. The rally is designed to help community members, particularly young and first-time voters, check their voter registration status, learn how to register, and understand how their vote impacts local decisions.
“Too often, people are disengaged from the process simply because they don’t have clear, accessible information,” Roberson said. “This event is about making sure people know how to use their voice and understand that state and local elections directly affect their daily lives.”
The rally will include voter education resources, information on registration deadlines, and guidance on how to participate in upcoming elections. No prior registration is required to attend.
