UPDATE: At 1:07 p.m., the Champaign Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit van and two police vehicles left a residence near the corner of Mattis Avenue and Parkland way.
One of the police vehicles was carrying a K-9 unit.

CHAMPAIGN — Parkland College’s extended campus is under lockdown status as police respond to a shooting around the area of Mattis Avenue and Parkland Way.
Around 11:25 a.m., METCAD called Champaign police to the area of Hedge Road and Garden Hills Drive, which is a short distance from the area Parkland College reported on Facebook.
Parkland’s post said that there are three male suspects at large, reportedly on foot and wearing black clothing.
Parkland on Mattis, which includes Community Education, the Construction Education Alliance, the Health Professions Annex and Illinois workNet is on lockdown as the investigation continues.
