THE FOLLOWING IS A DOWNTOWN DANVILLE, INC RELEASE
DANVILLE, IL — Downtown Danville is preparing for one of its biggest summer celebrations as North Street
closes to traffic for the inaugural Live on North Festival on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00
p.m.
The family-friendly street festival will bring together live music, local businesses, food vendors, games,
shopping, and community engagement for an evening designed to showcase the energy and vibrancy of
Downtown Danville.
Headlining the event will be local favorites Bordertown & Co. from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by highenergy rock band X-Krush from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Festivalgoers can also test their courage during a crowdpleasing Hot Wing Eating Contest held between musical performances.
Attendees can enjoy food and beverages from a variety of vendors and downtown businesses, including the
Tequila & Beer Trailer by El Bandido, Obsidian Coffee Cart, Blaze & Glaze Woodfired Pizza, Dips & Sips, and
special food and drink offerings from Bresee Bar & Grill. Additional attractions include vendor booths, yard
games, tattoo flash sales, custom apparel, handcrafted goods, and more.
“This event is exactly the kind of energy downtown needs,” said Deana Turner, owner of Bresee Bar & Grill.
“Live on North is bringing together local businesses, great music, and our community in a way that highlights
everything that makes Downtown Danville special. We’re excited to welcome new faces through our doors and
be part of an event that supports the continued growth of our downtown district.”
Beyond entertainment, Live on North will also support local economic development. A percentage of event
proceeds will benefit Downtown Danville Inc. and help fund a grant program for a qualifying startup small
business within the Downtown District.
Organizers hope the inaugural event will become a signature annual tradition that attracts residents and visitors
alike while supporting local businesses and fostering community connections.
The event is made possible through the support of numerous community partners and sponsors, including
