Danville, IL, Nov. 21, 2023 – The Danville Symphony Orchestra (DSO) continues its 2023-24 season and Music Director search Dec. 2nd with its annual Christmas concert “Nothin’ but the Blues Christmas” in the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium.
On Saturday, December 2nd at 7:30 pm, guest conductor and candidate for the DSO’s next Music Director, Matthew Sheppard, will lead the DSO through a program featuring bluesy hits and Christmas classics. This concert will also feature internationally renowned jazz-gospel vocalist Shayna Steele, who was named Jazziz Magazine Editor’s Choice World Class Vocalist in 2023.
“Nothin’ but the Blues Christmas” is made possible by the Julius W. Hegeler II Foundation.

Tickets are still available for the Dec. 2 concert, with seats remaining on the main floor and balcony for $35 and $45. Students with a valid ID can buy tickets for $10.
