Vermilion advantage hosted a special ribbon cutting right around 12 noon in Georgetown on Friday (Jan 5th). The Taqueria El Patron Restaurant at 201 Huffman Street has been offering carry out for quite some time. But now, owners Juan and Sona Munoz have an indoor dining area. And as Sona explains, their customers like just about everything on the menu; but there is something extra special on Fridays.
AUDIO: We opened about two years ago. (Now we have) a dining area so they can eat inside. And on Fridays, the name is “Burrito Fridays;” they love everything we do.

When it comes to small, independent businesses in Georgetown, Mayor Darin Readnour says interested parties need to keep their eyes and ears open; because some property across from a certain gas station will soon be available.
AUDIO: You know we have some property for sale, the town does. We’re going to put it on the market here shortly with a realtor. So hopefully we’ll get a little more business come to town. It’s right across from Casey’s gas station. There’s a sign by the road there when you’re leaving. It says “Georgetown Business District owns this property.”
As for how to get to Taqueria El Patron, just go west off Route 1 a tiny little bit, and it’s right there on the north side of Huffman Street.
