The Danville Fire Department says no one was home when a fire broke out around 7 PM Tuesday (January 9th) evening at 935 N. Bowman, near the intersection of Bowman and Maple. The building was determined to be occupied with no one present when the fire broke out. Two deceased pets were found inside. Firefighters were on the scene until 10:56 PM, and estimated dollar loss was $45,000. Investigations showed no working smoke detectors were present in the home.
A large amount of fire and smoke was coming from the structure when firefighters arrived. The cause is under investigation.
