THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
Danville Police Officers responded to the report of a subject being shot in the 1200 block of Koehn Dr. on Thursday 1/18/24 around 3 p.m. It was reported a 19-year-old female victim had been shot and then taken to a hospital emergency room with the assistance of friends, family, and eventually the Danville Police Department. The female victim is currently in stable condition.
Through investigation and community cooperation, officers arrested 18-year-old Jacob J Turner who is currently being held at the Public Safety Building on the charge of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. The Danville Police Department would like to thank the community for stepping up and providing important information about this case. The often-used saying “see something say something” was followed during this case and the assistance was vital to the investigation.
