Six basketball games will be played at Danville High School this coming Saturday (February 1oth) in the annual Watchfire Shootout. It all begins with the 11 AM game between Rantoul and Bloomington. Cost for this full day of basketball is $7 for adults, and $5 for those under 12.
Local teams participating will include Bismarck-Henning-Rossville-Alvin taking on Urbana at 12:30, La Salette Academy facing DRW College Prep at 3:30, and Danville taking the floor against Glenbard South at 6:30.
Top prospects being featured will include University of Rutgers signee Lathan Somerville from Peoria Richwoods; along with University of Denver signee Josh Pickett from Chicago St. Laurence. Numerous other participating players are receiving Division One interest.
