THE FOLLOWING IS A TRENT SHERFIELD YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP RELEASE
DANVILLE, ll. – Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Trent Sherfield is proud to announce the 4th Annual Free Youth Football Camp and High School Showcase, taking place on May 25, 2024, at Danville High School. This year, the camp expands its offerings to include, not only incoming 5th – 10th graders, but also a High School Showcase tailored for rising 11th – 12th graders and uncommitted, 2024 high school graduates, providing them with a unique opportunity to be evaluated by college coaches.
The first session will be from 9:00am -10:30am and the High School Showcase will be from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.
Registration opens May 3rd, 2024.
The free football camp, led by Sherfield along with other current NFL players, Division I athletes, and community leaders, aims to give young players a firsthand experience of what practices at the next level entail. Along with the chance to be highlighted by Edgy Tim Rivals and other media coverage, recruitment coaches from Northern Michigan University, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee State University Vanderbilt University and other colleges are expected to be in attendance.
The addition of the High School Showcase underscores Sherfield’s commitment to nurturing talent and providing avenues for aspiring athletes to advance in their football careers. “In partnership with Diamonds Amongst the Rough, my nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to equipping the next generation with the resources they need to succeed,” says Sherfield. “Our goal is to refine the future by offering invaluable experiences and mentorship to young athletes.”
