Board president Dr. Randal Ashton had little to say afterwards; except that there was still no solid date established for Geddis' return, and things are still being worked out.

With overwhelming campus support, including card donations, classroom participation, and student organizations like Phi Theta Kappa and the Jaguar All Stars, the Library sent 600 cards-more than doubling last year's 230.

The program is funded by an Illinois WORKS Pre-Apprenticeship grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (IDCEO). Over the past two years, DACC has received more than $850,000 to support the program and has applied for funding for a third grant year.

The three DHS groups assembled 200 care bags which contained socks, gloves, water bottle, note page, pens, a list of public service numbers, and a variety of snacks.

The motto "One Voice -One Vision" explains the mission of being a group to unite other DHS service groups to work together and support the projects.

These students were honored at a holiday lunch with their school counselors and Danville High Principal Jacob Bretz for their accomplishment.

eSports Coach Michael "Guido" Esteves reflected on the team's historic achievements. "We had DACC vs. DACC in the national semifinals," he said. "They each felt that playing each other was the hardest match of the tournament."

Randy Fletcher holds a doctorate in education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His leadership is built on years of experience in higher education, with a strong focus on student success, workforce development and innovation.

Lorenz and Caden began their academic journeys in high school through College Express, a partnership between DACC and Vermilion Vocational Education Delivery System (VVEDS).

To celebrate Dr. Fletcher's return, DACC will host a Welcome Reception on Thursday, December 19, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. The event will be held in Vermilion Hall room 306, and all faculty, staff, students, and community members are invited to attend.
