Vermilion County Museum Director Sue Richter is reminding everyone to stop by the museum at 116 North Gilbert in Danville and purchase your very own bag of ILLINI POP from WE ARE NUTS. The Minneapolis company is supplying the pop corn in all the goody bags doing to teams and players at the Big Ten Tournament that starts this coming Wednesday (March 16th).
Each team is getting caramel corn with “tutti fruitti” flavors in their team’s colors. Stop in at the museum and purchase your ILLINI POP bag for $15, and you’ll be supporting the Vermilion County Museum as well as eating the same popcorn the Illini are during the tournament.
And as Richter reminds us, the sales of this very good popcorn will help promote some important programs at the museum.
AUDIO: And it is actually very, very tasty. It’s going to help with our school programs that we put on. It helps to defray the cost of putting on the school programs, which are offered to all the schools in the county, free of charge. So, as we’re heading into the school program season, that is our biggest expense. So, that’s what we’re hoping to able to be able to put the money that we garner from the fundraiser towards.
The Vermilion County Museum is open 10 AM to 4 PM, Tuesdays through Saturdays.
