Starting Monday, March 18th; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 538 will be taking applications for their upcoming apprenticeship program. John Gallez recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. Gallez says if you are turning 18 this summer, you can apply. And new electricians are very much needed.
AUDIO: There’s actually a shortage of electricians nationwide. And so there’s a big push to try to train as many guys as we can right now. I could use several more apprentices. We’ve got contractors that are looking for people and things. There’s high demand for them, and I think that’s going to last for quite a while.
Just stop by the IBEW Local 538 Union Hall at 1290 North Michigan Avenue, at the corner of Michigan and Voorhees. Applications will be taken March 18th through March 29th.
