Danville Community Relations Administrator Ashton Greer says mark your calendar for the last Saturday in April, which is the 27th. Greer recently appeared with Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection program. From 8:30 to 11:30 AM on April 27th, in the Harrison Park Clubhouse, will be the annual Neighborhood Association Breakfast.
Greer says this is a chance for neighborhood association leaders and representatives to get together as one.
AUDIO: And we talk about issues that our neighborhoods are experiencing. Positive things; updates from different city apartments. There’s a time for Q and A with city leadership. It’s just a great way to get a lot of information to the neighborhood leaders.
Greer says the great thing about having a neighborhood association is that you can fight any negatives, and promote positives; as a team.
AUDIO: You know each other. You can have a text thread. You can communicate. You can start a neighborhood watch. You can coordinate neighborhood cleanup days; or neighborhood garage sale days. And, it’s really just a way of banding together to make your neighborhood better.
