With the City of Danville’s new Garfield Park Pool set to open over Memorial Day Weekend, workers are needed. If you are interested, you need to let Public Works Operations Administrator David Ruwe know. He says they’ll be starting up interviews in just a few weeks. Do you want to be lifeguard, for example? They will train you. Front desk clerks are needed as well.
AUDIO: (We’re) looking for anyone over 16 years old to be a lifeguard, and over 18 to basically be a clerk, a front desk clerk. We’re looking for anybody that has even availability over weekends, or through the week. It can be varying availability; obviously seasonal staff only. We’ll train lifeguards, we’ll train them to do the front desk stuff.
Just go online at cityofdanville.org or pick up an application at City Hall at 17 West Main, or at the Public Works Building at 1155 East Voorhees.
