On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, firefighters were called to a residence on fire with visible smoke and flames. The fire was reported to be near Williams and Short Streets yesterday around 4:30 PM in Danville. While enroute to the call, firefighters received reports of a possible person inside the residence. Firefighters arrived to find the fire had fully enveloped the backside of the residence with flames extending over 20 feet in the air.
