THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
The Danville Police Department is investigating an incident involving a 17-year-old male juvenile being shot on Sunday evening. Officers responded to the Emergency Department of OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center on Sunday evening 4/7/2024 for a subject who had been shot multiple times. The juvenile victim was transferred to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
During the investigation, it was learned the subject was shot in the 900 block of W. Fairchild St. and taken to the hospital. The investigation has led to an arrest warrant being issued by the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office for 44-year-old Kevin Flight. Flight has charges of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm due to the incident. The Danville Police Department is actively looking for Flight who is described as a male black 6’ to 6’3” and approximately 210 pounds. Flight is considered armed and dangerous.
