If you’re wondering what to get your kids and family involved in for this coming summer, the Danville Family YMCA can help this coming Saturday (April 20th). They’ll be having their annual Healthy Kids Day. Danville Y Associate Executive Director Joyce Bruett recently joined Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection program. Bruett said this is part of a national initiative.
AUDIO: Getting families ready for the summertime; and realizing all the physical activities and things that you can do to keep your family and your kids healthy, especially over the summer months. We have community organizations, mostly other not-for-profits around our community, that come in and set up booths, and have activities and giveaways and freebees. It’s everything from the hospital to Survivor Resource Center; all kinds of different things either for health and safety and/or for fun activities that maybe families don’t know are available in our community.
Saturday’s Healthy Kids Day activities at the Danville Family YMCA will run from 12 Noon to 2 PM.
