Vermilion Advantage has reported that including students who visited, the Career Expo – Job Fair today (April 24th) at the David S. Palmer Arena had over 1,200 visitors.
Over 70 employers were on hand to greet residents interested in career opportunities in the Danville – Vermilion County region. The event was put together after the announced closing of the Danville Quaker Oaks plant, and was designed for everyone from those new to the workforce to those seeking new opportunities.
Vermilion Advantage CEO Mike Marron stated “It was a wonderful turnout, and something to build on for next year. It was great to create some positive energy with all the recent tough news we’ve had. Our area showed that we’re going to fight, and make some good stuff happen.”
