This coming Saturday evening, 7:30 PM May 4th, the Danville Symphony Orchestra will have their “Beatles and Bach” performance at Danville High School’s Dick Van Dyke Auditorium; with special guest Brandon Ridenour on trumpet.
Maestro Matthew Sheppard will be conducting this show, and during a recent appearance with Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection, Maestro Sheppard gave an example of the special talents in the Danville Symphony Orchestra.
AUDIO: To make that effect, to create that world that you’re looking for; it sort of just comes out in your playing. For the string players, they just have to make a tremendous amount of sound; just huge, massive, soaring sound. And you’ll see their bows just moving non-stop; back-and-forth, back-and-forth.
