Republican 51st District State Senator Chapin Rose says Governor Pritzker’s recent budget address showed that his top focus is not on Illinois residents, but that he has a major priority elsewhere.
AUDIO: And that would be a billion dollars in taxpayer financing of illegal immigrants. And what’s not being taken care of is property tax relief. What’s not being taken care of is any kind of tax relief. In fact, the governor will say he wants to get rid of the grocery tax; which sounds great, until you realize he’s actually increasing your personal income taxes to do it.
Senator Rose says, as far as he’s concerned, that billion dollars he sees as allocated for illegal immigrants may only be the beginning.
AUDIO: Now, that’s just a billion that we found in his budget. I don’t, for a minute, believe that’s the total amount. So much of this is covered up through grants to local non-profit groups; that you really don’t know how much is being spent on this.
Rose pointed out that the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, recently stepped up and said he no longer considers the Big Apple a sanctuary city for immigrants; that they can simply no longer support and handle it. Would Governor Pritzker ever say that? Senator Rose says he doubts it. Rose says Pritzker wants to look good for something else, a run at the White House. What year is he aiming for? The senator says, remember, a lot can still happen in 2024.
AUDIO: And remember that the Democrat Convention is in Chicago this year. And that means J.B. Pritzker’s the host governor of the convention. So, you know, whether it’s some kind of subterfuge within the internal Democratic party, or whether it’s in 2028, there’s no doubt that J.B. Pritzker, his entire life, has wanted to run for president.
The actual dates of that convention are August 19th through 22nd.
