THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE RELEASE
DANVILLE – This Thursday, April 4, dive into the world of classical music with an exceptional piano performance by DACC’S incomparable Music Professor, Dr. Eric Simonson, featuring the works of Robert and Clara Schumann, alongside their younger friend Johannes Brahms. These composers are among the most celebrated in classical music, known for their deep emotions and beautiful melodies.
Join us at the renovated Carnegie library, now known as Jacobs Hall at DACC, for two unique opportunities to immerse yourself in their captivating music. The first performance will be at 2:30 p.m. and is absolutely free! It’s a perfect chance for students, staff, and faculty to experience the beauty of classical music without any cost.
For those who can attend in the evening, a second performance will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are just $5 at the door, and all proceeds will be used to support DACC’s new music degree programs. Attendees will not just enjoy an evening of exquisite music; they will also contribute to the growth and development of DACC’s music education offerings.
These performances are a fantastic way for students to experience live classical music and for the community to come together to support the arts and education. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of classical music or curious to explore something new, this event promises to be a memorable experience.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Jacobs Hall for these special performances. Let’s celebrate the power of music together!
