After 175 were handed out in the Chicago area Tuesday, 75 were handed out in Danville Wednesday. AT&T Director of External Affairs Chris Warwick said it was all due to a great partnership.

Woods recalled that although District 118 had cancelled summer programs; the feeling was, "we can do this." So she got together with the District 118 superintendent, and the Schlarman Academy interim principal.

As Ms. Piggott says, "Too many of our students don't have access to healthy food during the summer when they're out of school, so this program helps ensure that our young people are able to keep eating healthy."

The one vote against the amended budget came from board member Christopher Easton; saying that his vote was "by principal," since the adjustment was being made 15 days before the end of the fiscal year on June 30th. Pence says amendments to next year's budget will hopefully be made much earlier.
